Mr. Goodman: The Kiteman

The book, conceived by Kite Club—a collective of kite enthusiasts consisting of creative director Peter Hebbing, industrial designer Bertjan Pot, and photographers Maurice Scheltens and Liesbeth Abbenes—honors Goodman’s rich life in the world of flying. The photography by Scheltens & Abbenes showcases the graphic impact of the flyable artworks, both as individual pieces and amidst the abundance of kites in Goodman’s home. Essays by Emily King and Bertjan Pot bring together anecdotes from historical and contemporary kite culture.

The publication, developed and designed in collaboration with Maharam, is being released simultaneously with an exhibition of the same name at the Kunsthal Rotterdam. This exhibition is on view from March 21 to August 30, 2026. You can find more information about this exhibition here.
